IMPORTANT: HUMANITARIAN APPEAL TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA H. PRABOWO SUBIANTO AND THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT

Jakarta |WIT–With deep concern, I, Vernando Sihombing, as Chairman of Gaharu Nusantara Bersinar (GNB), convey this humanitarian appeal to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Haji Prabowo Subianto, and the entire Central Government.

Currently, our brothers and sisters in North Sumatra, Aceh, and West Sumatra are facing a very critical situation due to flash floods and landslides. Conditions in various affected areas are becoming increasingly dire:

1. Access and logistics are hampered,
2. Aid has not been adequately distributed,
3. Residents are struggling to obtain basic necessities,
4. The potential for social unrest is increasing, crime rates are rising, and there is a risk of starvation and tension in the field.

Several reports indicate that gas stations have run out of fuel, looting has occurred, and the community is desperate for help. This situation cannot be allowed to drag on.

Therefore, Gaharu Nusantara Bersinar issues this humanitarian appeal:

1. To the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Central Government, to immediately give extraordinary attention and take swift action to ensure that all aid mechanisms are effective and on target. Even if this disaster has not been declared a National Disaster, the government can at least immediately declare it a Humanitarian Disaster, so that maximum acceleration of the response can be carried out.

2. The Chairman calls on all administrators and members of Gaharu Nusantara Bersinar (GNB) throughout Indonesia to take immediate action, go out into the field, gather aid, and be present to assist communities who are struggling to save their lives. Now is the time for us to show solidarity, support, and love for our fellow human beings.

3. We call on all elements of society, organizations, communities, and authorities to unite in concrete action, without waiting for complicated instructions. Every hour that passes is a risk to human life.

Today, the suffering of the people is a call to all of us.
May this call serve as a reminder that humanity always transcends all other interests. ( Red )
